NORWALK, CT — Two 21-year-old Norwalk men are accused of going to a basketball court at Norwalk High School to "find someone to hurt" prior to the "completely unprovoked" stabbing of a 15-year-old Friday night, The Norwalk Hour reports.

Dior Sebastian Bell and Tyllis Gay were arrested Friday following the stabbing. Bell appeared before a state Superior Court judge Monday for arraignment.

According to The Hour, court officials said the 15-year-old was playing basketball with friends when Bell and Gay picked a fight with them that ended in a stabbing. The judge said a police report indicated both men decided to "find somebody to hurt," whether they knew them or not, The Hour reports.

In a news release late Friday night, police said Bell is accused of stabbing one of the teens at the basketball court with a knife.

Around 5 p.m., officers found an inured juvenile on the school's football field who was taken to Norwalk Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers were told Gay punched a juvenile on the basketball court in the face and Bell stabbed a juvenile with a knife, police said. Both men then fled the scene.

According to witnesses, both attacks were unprovoked, police said.

Officers arrested Gay nearby after a brief foot chase, and Bell was found on Strawberry Hill Avenue. Officers also recovered a knife nearby, police said.

Bell was charged Friday with first-degree assault, while Gay was charged with third-degree assault. Both men were also charged with first-degree conspiracy to commit assault and loitering in or about school grounds, according to police.

In a statement Friday night, Norwalk Public Schools applauded police for their swift actions and said the district would continue to support their investigation moving forward.

"We want to remind families that this incident occurred after school hours and the individuals involved were not at Norwalk High School for any school-related events," district officials said in a statement.
