New Interim Principal Named For Norwalk Middle School
Norwalk Public Schools has announced James Crouch as interim principal of Nathan Hale Middle School.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Public Schools announced this week James Crouch will serve as interim principal of Nathan Hale Middle School beginning Aug. 1.
According to a news release provided by the district, Crouch has served as assistant principal of Nathan Hale since July 2020.
He will fill the position left vacant by Eric Jackson, who announced last week he will be leaving the district.

A social emotional school leader, Crouch aims to assist all students in the development of short and long-term goals that influence and enhance student performance, teacher accountability and a learning culture that supports the goals of the district, according to district officials.
Crouch joined the district in August 2010 as assistant principal of Roton Middle School. After seven years, he transitioned to Jefferson Elementary School as assistant principal for a year, then served as principal of Brookside Elementary School for a year.

Prior to his arrival at Norwalk Public Schools, Crouch served as assistant principal at LaFrancis Hardiman Elementary School in Wyandanch, N.Y., from 2008 to 2010. He also served as the dean of students at Milton L. Olive Middle School in Wyandanch from September 2006 to January 2008.
Crouch began his career in Hempstead, N.Y., as a history teacher at the Hempstead High School Alternative Program from 1997 to 2006. He also worked as an in-school suspension teacher for Hempstead High School from 2001 to 2006.
