NFL Suspends Running Back Silas Redd of Norwalk

The suspension is indefinite and effective immediately.

NORWALK, CT - Washington Redskins running back Silas Redd, a Norwalk native who played high school football for King-Low Heywood Thomas in Stamford, has been suspended by the National Football League for violating its substance abuse policy.

The suspension, which was announced Tuesday, is indefinite and effective immediately, in part because it the running back's second suspension in the last six months. In November, while out rehabbing a knee injury, Redd was suspended four games for a substance abuse violation.

He did not play at all in 2015, due to the knee injury and suspension, reports NFL.com.
