Nighttime Bridge Project Between Exits 15 and 17 on I-95, Now Through Dec. 9

An announcement from the Connecticut Department of Transportation:

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 Northbound & Southbound in Norwalk through the morning of Tuesday, December 9, 2014.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on Bridge #00060 (East Avenue) in Norwalk [near Exit 16]. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014. No work will occur over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound & Southbound between Exit 15 (U.S. Rt. 7) and Exit 17 (Rt. 33, Saugatuck Ave. [Westport]) in Norwalk. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
