Norwalk Appoints New School Superintendent in 5-4 Vote

Steven Adamowski was appointed and his term will start in mid-July.

The Norwalk Board of Education appointed the city’s next superintendent in a 5-4 vote.

Steven Adamowski will serve as acting superintendent until certification requirements are met, according to the Norwalk Hour.

He will start his position on July 15 and his appointment is scheduled to last until 2018.

Four Democrats voted against his appointment. Shirley Mosby said the school system spent a lot of money on a search firm and that one of the requirements what that applicants were certified.
