  • City officials remind families with children that there are 11 food distribution sites in Norwalk that provide drive-through or walk-up services weekdays from noon – 2 p.m. Families with children under 18 years old can visit any location – they do not need to attend that particular school, or be enrolled with NPS. A list of locations can be found at norwalkps.org.
  • The City and Norwalk Health Department created a survey in an effort to match residents who are seeking to help the community with local organizations in need of volunteers. Those interested can complete the Volunteer Survey by visiting bit.ly/norwalkvolunteer.
  • Tomorrow is the deadline to submit photos to the Norwalk Public Library for a new online exhibit entitled “Norwalk Strong: Life During COVID-19.” Residents are asked to send pictures of daily life during the crisis to clahey@norwalkpl.org no later than Thursday, April 30.
  • The Norwalk Health Department has guidance online in English and Spanish on how to properly wear a face covering and how to make a cloth face covering. It is important to wear a face covering when it’s difficult to maintain physical distance from others. This is not to protect the wearer, but to help them from unknowingly spreading the virus to others.
