Norwalk Crumbl Cookies Closes Suddenly After 1 Year In Business
The popular cookie chain's sole Norwalk location closed suddenly this month after opening back in April 2023.
NORWALK, CT — Customers hoping to pick up a warm, freshly baked cookie from the Crumbl bakery at 360 Connecticut Avenue this week will now have to travel out of town.
On Wednesday, a Crumbl spokesperson confirmed to Patch the Norwalk store has closed a little over a year after opening last spring.
The spokesperson noted Crumbl operates as a franchise model business, allowing entrepreneurs to invest in and run their own stores.

"This approach provides aspiring business owners with an opportunity to be part of the Crumbl brand while independently managing their respective locations," a Crumbl spokesperson said in an email to Patch. "Crumbl franchise owners may opt to close their stores due to personal reasons. This decision is made independently by each owner and may involve various factors."
A sign posted on the door of the Norwalk store Monday indicated the "location is closed" and encouraged customers to check the Crumbl website to find their nearest store location.

Following the Norwalk store's closure, the Crumbl locations closest to the city are now in Fairfield and Stamford.
Crumbl also operates Connecticut locations in Shelton, Danbury, Milford, Avon, North Haven, Buckland Hills and West Farms.
"As a company, Crumbl remains committed to its mission of bringing friends and family together over the best desserts in the world and providing excellent customer service," the spokesperson said. "Crumbl's continued expansion efforts have been marked by notable success, as the company continues to experience significant growth; Crumbl opens new stores in communities across the U.S. and Canada each week."
The spokesperson also noted Crumbl "[loves] being a part of the local communities in Connecticut."
The rapidly growing chain, famous for serving up inventive cookies in eye-catching packages, opened the Norwalk store in April 2023 at the ShopRite shopping plaza.
At the time of the opening, the company said Norwalk was a "beautiful and welcoming" area, making it the perfect place for its next Connecticut store.
"There are many activities and sights [in Norwalk] to share with the people we love," a Crumbl spokesperson said last year. "We hope the Norwalk community will take the opportunity to share a sweet treat with their family and friends."
Crumbl cookies are larger than an average cookie, and most of them are served warm when purchased at one of their stores. Crumbl's long, distinctive pink packages are also a popular sight on social media.
The cookie menu at Crumbl rotates on a weekly basis, and the best place for customers to view the ever-changing selection is through the Crumbl app or by visiting the chain's Instagram page.
