Norwalk Everyday Hero: Inspirational Street Artist Raj Santaella

• “I’d like to nominate a local hero - my good friend Raf Santaella also known as the local artist 5ivefingaz. He’s a local street artist and a great person all around who came up with an idea to spread positive thoughts by creating an outdoor gallery of paintings. The artwork he created uses positive quotes and messages about real life topics while creating an interactive experience. If you find the painting, it’s yours to keep and each one has a significant well thought out message.”
  

Why do you feel is this person an Everyday Hero?

• “The messages are so heart felt and important to share that he’s even created clever hash tags like #randomartsofkindness #mygalleryisoutside #loveislove. Raf isn’t doing this for the notoriety, if anything he’s not promoting himself at all but all his close friends see his paintings daily on Facebook and know what he’s doing and to me, I think he’s really a hero for coming up with such a clever way to spread positive, meaningful messages through his art.”
