Norwalk To Host Kwanzaa Celebration At City Hall
The program will include prayers and songs, a welcome dance, a candle lighting ceremony, light refreshments and more.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk will host a Kwanzaa celebration Friday night in the community room of City Hall at 6 p.m.
In an announcement, Mayor Harry Rilling said the program will be led by Josephine Anderson, the mistress of ceremony, and include prayers and songs led by Reverend Roosevelt Ewell of Canaan Institutional Baptist.
The event will also feature light refreshments, a welcome dance, cultural expression and storytelling, a reading of the seven principles, a candle lighting ceremony and more.

Speakers will include Rilling, Anderson and Ewell, as well as members of the city's Common Council.
