Norwalk Immigrant Ordered Deported
Another longtime Norwalk immigrant is being ordered deported.

NORWALK, CT — Another longtime Norwalk immigrant has received a deportation order.
Jung Courville, a Korean immigrant who has been in the country for 18 years and has been married to a U.S. citizen for 14 years was told to leave the country by Aug. 28, according to the Norwalk Hour.
Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff has come out in support of Courville.

"What strategic, economic, public safety or national security purpose does it serve to rip her away from her husband and children and break up her family," Duff said. "Our country needs a rational national immigration policy."
Courville has two children. She was flagged for traveling in 2010 and has met annually with Immigration and Customs Enforcement since then. An advocacy group is pushing for a stay of deportation.
