Norwalk Invites Residents to Walk through Scenic Silvermine with Mayor
Norwalk residents are encouraged to join the heart-healthy, 3.5-mile walk through Scenic Silvermine on Saturday, February 4.
From Norwalk Health Department: February is National Heart Month, and the Norwalk Health Department, the Healthy for Life Project, and Silvermine NorWALKers invite Norwalk residents to a heart-healthy, 3.5-mile walk through Silvermine on Saturday, February 4, beginning at 8:00 am at Silvermine Elementary School (157 Perry Avenue).
Following the successful October 2016 launch of a neighborhood walking group in Silvermine, Norwalk residents Deborah Lewis and Lance Zimmerman will be guiding fellow NorWALKers on monthly walks, starting at 8:00am at Silvermine Elementary School on the first Saturday of the month. This month’s walk will be held in conjunction with Mayor Rilling’s Walk With Us program, following Loop 3 of Silvermine’s NorWALKer Walking Routes map, found here.
After the walk through scenic Silvermine, all walkers are invited to the Silvermine Market for breakfast (not provided) and conversation about how to build and sustain this neighborhood walking program in the Silvermine community. No sign-up is required to attend. For more information, please contact Deborah Lewis at dlewis@bredeson.com.
