Norwalk Man Arrested for Facebook Threats about Killing Cops: Police
The suspect allegedly called the Dallas shooter a "hero."

Norwalk, CT - A 34-year-old Norwalk man was arrested for allegedly posting Facebook messages that called for the killing of police officers, and in the posts he also referred to the Dallas shooter as a "hero," according to Norwalk police.
Kurt Vanzuuk, of Linden Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with Inciting Injury to Persons or Property.
"On July 8, 2016, the Norwalk Department of Police Service Detective Bureau received information about threatening social media messaging advocating violence against police officers," wrote Norwalk Police Lt. Terrance Blake in a statement. "Detectives located the posts on Facebook and identified the author as Kurt Vanzuuk. The posts indicated that the Dallas shooter was a hero and called for police officers to be killed."

Police did not disclose the text of the posts, and as of this morning, July 10, a Facebook page under Vanzuuk's name was still active but did not contain any threatening messages.
Vanzuuk was held in lieu of a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear July 19.
