Norwalk Man Robs Customer at Milford Panera Bread: Police

Milford police say the man approached a customer indicating he had a gun and he is accused of robbing her of $6 before police caught him.

On Wednesday, the Milford Police Department received a complaint regarding a robbery that occurred at Panera Bread located at 1201 Boston Post Road.

Investigation revealed that a male approached a customer in the store and demanded money from the victim after handing her a note saying he had a gun, police said.

The male took $6 and an electronic benefits card from the victim and fled the scene, police said.

Police located the suspect at another business on the Boston Post Road where he was taken into custody.

Robert Dileonardo, 31 of 1 Yale Street in Norwalk, was charged with first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, and Interfering with police.

Police also found that Dileonardo had two outstanding warrants for his arrest from the Norwalk Police Department accusing him of two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court.

Dileonardo was held in lieu of $25,990 bond.
