NORWALK, CT — The city is now hiring a public safety telecommunicator for the Norwalk Police Department, and those interested are encouraged to apply.

According to the city's Facebook page, this person will be responsible for receiving and reporting emergencies, non-emergency complaints or messages and transmitting reports and messages to mobile units, persons or departments.
