Norwalk Police Issue Over 40 Citations To Drivers Speeding, Not Obeying Stop Signs In School Zones: PD

Police said they issued over 40 citations in one morning to drivers in Norwalk for speeding or failing to obey stop signs in schools zones.

NORWALK, CT — Police said they issued over 40 citations Friday morning to drivers in Norwalk for speeding or failing to obey stop signs in schools zones.

In a Facebook post, police said members of the department's Traffic Division conducted focused enforcement Friday morning in school zones throughout the city.

According to police, officers issued 43 citations to drivers for speeding or failing to obey stop signs near the city's schools.

"We remind motorists the speed limit is 20 mph in designated school zones," police wrote on Facebook, "and drivers should always remain alert for students crossing or walking near roadways."
