According to city officials, the heaviest rainfall will occur between 7 p.m. Tuesday night and 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, which may cause flooding in roadways and low-lying areas.

"We’re expecting 2-3 inches of rain, but higher amounts are possible," the city's Facebook post reads. "Moderate coastal flooding of 2 to [2.5] feet above ground level is also expected during [Wednesday] morning’s high tide at 10 a.m."

Residents closest to the water should be prepared to move their vehicles to higher ground, city officials said.

"Please take extra caution tonight and tomorrow morning and avoid driving through flooded roads, especially those closed by police or [Department of Public Works]," city officials said. "Remember it is impossible to know how deep the water is just by looking at it, which is why we want to remind you that if you see water, turn around, don't drown!"
