A Norwalk restaurant has lost a state Supreme Court appeal over unpaid rent due to indoor dining restrictions during the coronavirus crisis.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk restaurant has lost a state Supreme Court appeal over unpaid rent due to coronavirus restrictions shutting down their business after the court ruled the business was still responsible for breaching the rent agreement, the Norwalk Hour reports.

According to the Hour, the court ruled in favor of AGW SoNo Partners LLC, the property's owner, in the appeal filed by Downtown SoHo LLC, the former tenant. The Village restaurant's owners previously argued restrictions on indoor dining from March to May 2020 caused irreparable damage to the business.
