Norwalk School Ranked Among Top 100 High Schools In CT: U.S. News

Additionally, five of the top 10 public high schools in the state are in Fairfield County.

NORWALK, CT — The Center for Global Studies is among the state's 100 best public high schools, according to a new ranking of the 100 top high schools in Connecticut by U.S. News & World Report.

In Connecticut, the Center for Global Studies ranked 98th, according to the report. Nationally, Center for Global Studies is the 4,678th best high school.

The top high school in Connecticut is Marine Science Magnet High School of Southeastern in Groton, but five of the top 10 high schools in the state are in Fairfield County.

After Westport's Staples High School, which is second to Marine Science, the other Fairfield County schools in the top 10 in Connecticut are in Darien, Weston, New Canaan and Greenwich.

Families can use the annual rankings to compare schools at the national, state and local levels on factors such as academic performance, graduation rates and college readiness, according to a news release. U.S. News reviewed 25,000 schools and ranked 17,680 of them, including 206 in Connecticut.
