Norwalk St. Patrick's Day Parade 2022 Postponed

The 2022 Norwalk St. Patrick's Day Parade, originally scheduled​ to take place Saturday, has been rescheduled.

NORWALK, CT — In light of this weekend's forecasted storm, the 2022 Norwalk St. Patrick's Day Parade originally scheduled to take place Saturday has been postponed by one week to March 19.

According to a news release sent out Thursday morning by the Norwalk Police Emerald Society, the parade is still scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Veteran's Park and proceed up Washington Street, onto North Main Street and end at Pine Street.

A ceremony will immediately follow under the tent at O'Neill's Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 93 North Main Street.

An annual city tradition, the parade was canceled in 2020 and 2021 in light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis. In an announcement last year, parade committee officials noted canceling the event for a second year was decided "with the safety of all participants and attendees in mind."
