Norwalk Woman - a Lupus Survivor - Runs NYC Marathon for Charity

She is reportedly helping to raise funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

NORWALK, CT — Thirty-three-year-old South Norwalk resident Amanda Glendinning was diagnosed with Lupus at age 15, but the illness never broke her stride and on Sunday she's reportedly running the TCS New York City Marathon for charity.

Glendinning is helping to raise funds for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, writes Fox61 News. She found that exercising, which led to her discovering running, helped her deal with some of the effects of the disease.

Sunday will mark her fourth time running the New York City event and her 10th marathon overall.
