Norwalk's Match Has the Best Cocktails in CT, Connecticut Mag Says

Norwalk restaurants also won in other categories of the magazine's annual feature on best restaurants in Connecticut.

For the best restaurant for cocktails in Connecticut, go to Match in Norwalk, Connecticut Magazine’s “Readers’ Choice Awards” list says in the magazine’s January issue.

And for best wine list in the state, go around the corner to Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant. For best desserts in Connecticut, go to the Whelk in Westport — or go back to Match in Norwalk, which came in second place. Valencia Luncheria in Norwalk was the runner up for “Best Latin American” cuisine, beat out only by Crave restaurant in Ansonia.

Tazza Osteria & Bar in Fairfield won in the ”Best new restaurant” category, and also in the “best appetizers” category. Local Kitchen & Beer Bar in Fairfield won second place in the “Best American” cuisine category.

Kawa Ni in Westport won in the “Best Asian” category, and Bodega in Fairfield won for “Best Mexican.” For “Best Indian” cuisine, the magazine’s readers chose Coromandel in Darien (Thali in New Haven came in second place).

Elsewhere in the state, the “Best for overall excellence” category was won by Max Downtown in Hartford and Sal e Pepe in Newtown (which won top place for “Best Italian” cuisine).
