Obituary : Alfred (Doc) R. Napoletano

Doc was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was extremely important to him.

Alfred (Doc) R. Napoletano passed away on August 25, 2023 in Greenville, SC at the age of 92. Born and raised in Stamford, CT he was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Giancola) Napoletano.

He graduated from Stamford High School and was a Master Sargent in the U.S. Army National Guard until 1952. Originally employed by Stamford Motors as an automobile salesman, he was one of the founders and co-owners of Rudy Pontiac, Inc. of Norwalk, CT. He was extremely hard working and dedicated to the business for over 30 years. A devout Catholic, he was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus, and one of the founding members of St. Leo’s Church in Stamford, CT. Devoted to the church throughout his life, he remained so at St. Francis of Assisi during his many years as a long time resident of Weston, CT, receiving the St. Augustine Medal for his service.

Doc was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was extremely important to him, as he was to them. He is survived by Sarah (DiPanni), his wife of almost 68 years, his daughters and sons in law, Susan and Joseph DePanfilis and Lisa and Richard Albertelli, his grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph (wife Shari), Matthew (wife Ashley), Adam (wife Nicole) and his great-grandson, Nicholas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 16, 2023 at 10:00 am directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Weston. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT will be private. The Raymond Funeral Home in Historic Norwalk has been entrusted with arrangements.
