Obituary: Amy Louisa Hegedus, 68, Of Norwalk

Amy Louisa Hegedus (nee Finik), 68, the beloved wife of John Hegedus of Norwalk, passed away at Norwalk Hospital on January 20, 2024.

Amy was originally from Jackson Heights, NY, and later moved to Connecticut where she graduated from New Canaan High School. She settled in Norwalk where she has lived for 35 years.

Amy is survived by her husband John and her sister, Cathy Clemens, along with several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Amy is predeceased by her parents, Sidnee and Thomas Finik, and her brother Christopher Finik.

Amy enjoyed many activities including attending Bingo as often as possible in Norwalk, Stratford, and Foxwoods (her favorite). She was an astute card and mahjong player. She also bowled on leagues at Rip Van Winkle and Broad River Lanes.

There are no calling hours at this time; however, a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring to honor Amy’s memory.
