Jack loved the game of golf, and played it from a young age, often with his parents. They played at Silvermine Golf Club for many years. When he wasn't golfing, he could be found fishing with his parents out on the Sound. Once they finished fishing, they would retire to the South Norwalk Boat Club, where they had been members for over 50 years.
As he got older, he developed a love for painting, especially watercolors. He would often paint on his trips to the Cape with his dear cousin Lee Ellen.
