Barbara Koeppen Reilly, 78, of Norwalk, beloved wife of Deacon Paul Reilly, died on July 11, 2022 at Notre Dame Healthcare in Norwalk.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Larkin) Koeppen, and predeceased by her sister Maureen Koeppen.

After earning her master's degree, she worked as a systems analyst for IBM.

A member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Philip Church, Barbara was endowed with all the best qualities; kindness, generosity, patience, and deep faith and a deep love of family and nature.

She was instrumental in the formation of the Deacons' Wives Foundation, and leader of the Deacons' Wives prayer chain.

A member of the G.A. C. in Fairfield, A kind and generous woman, she volunteered with Hospice, and always had a smile for everyone.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Paul Reilly of Norwalk, Sister Jeanie McCarthy and niece Kelly McCarthy, her step-children; Kate (John)Piccard, Anne (Jim) Urkawich, Elaine (Jeff) Blanco and Karen (Dan) Guerra, as well as nine beloved grandchildren; John, Laura and Julia Piccard, Paul Urkawich, Margaret, Dominic, Jeffrey and Jordan Blanco and Luca Guerra, and bothers sisters and in-laws.

Her family will receive friends on Wed. July 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, at St. Philip Church, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
