Obituary: Barbara Lynn Greenhouse, 69, Of Norwalk

Barbara Lynn Greenhouse was a radiant being filled with light and love. We are sad to announce that she passed away on September 10th, 2023 at the age of 69.

Barbara was born on November 5th, 1953 in Bridgeport, CT and grew up in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of the late Herbert and Yvette Shohet. She studied at Southern Connecticut State University, Gibbs College, and Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Barbara was a graphic designer and owned Refresh Your Life Now, a holistic health coaching practice. She was a vibrant person with many interests. She enjoyed cooking, healthy eating, gardening, cars/motorcycles, animals, music, the outdoors, and spending time with loved ones. She was previously active in the Westport Unitarian Church and other local Unitarian communities.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Ariana Penachio, sister Susan Bai, niece Cindy Gagnon, sister Robin Bogdan, nieces/nephews Alex Lee, Adam Bogdan, Amanda Bogdanowicz and Alyssa Bogdanowicz, and partner Robert Adams. She is predeceased by her stepmother Jeanette Shohet.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 14th, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk, CT. If you would like to share stories of her life or leave the family condolences, please visit www.collinsfh.com.
