Obituary: Carole Street, 78, Of Norwalk

Carole Marie (Eggert) Street, 78, of Norwalk passed away on April 28th, 2022 at Norwalk Hospital.

Carole was born in Stamford, CT, the daughter of Charles and Marie Eggert, and was the beloved wife of Robert Street for 58 years. Through the years, she had worked for car dealerships, Friends of Animals, and local doctors offices as a receptionist.

Carole was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, and a volunteer at St. Jerome Catholic Church. She also volunteered at Norwalk Hospital for many years and had a heart for local animal rescue groups.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert, daughter Diane Berkowitz and her husband Sonny, of Danbury, son Jeffrey Street and his wife Kelly of China grove, NC. She cherished her five grandchildren; Travis and Jenna Berkowitz and Patrick, Ryan and Clancy Street, as well as two brothers, Charles (Jane) Eggert Jr. of Bridgeport, Robert (Penny) Eggert of St. Petersburg, FL and a sister Linda Donnelly of Largo FL.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5th, at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk. Burial will be held at a later date.
