Obituary: Catherine Ackerson, 72, Of Norwalk

Catherine M. Ackerson, age 72, of Norwalk and former Suffern, N.Y., resident, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Born in Tuxedo, NY on July 2, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Hilton) Shulz. Catherine enjoyed gardening, knitting and crochet and loved animals. This past year she enjoyed the love and care she received from her son Don Ackerson and his partner Tina Ravindran-Nair, who took care of her during her recent illness.

In addition to Don and Tina, Catherine is survived by her sister Lynn Milo (Bill), her grandson T.J. DePatto, son-in-law Thomas DePatto, brother-in-law Les Hathaway, niece Kim Hathaway and nephews Will and Joe Milo. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly DePatto, grandson Sean DePatto, and her sister Judy Hathaway.
