Obituary: Craig Anthony Saris, 52, Of Norwalk

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a loving husband and father and brave Norwalk Firefighter. Craig Anthony Saris, 52, passed away, after a courageous fight with cancer, on Monday, February 6, 2023.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 10, 1970, he was the son of the late Milton and Phyllis Saris.

Craig began his service as City of Norwalk, CT firefighter in 1997and served honorably until his death. He was twice cited for bravery at an emergency incident.

Craig is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Amy Teerlinck-Saris, their two children, Aunt Marilyn Schiazzano of Brooklyn, NY and Aunt Irene Paterno of Dania Beach, FL. Craig is predeceased by his brother George Saris.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, February 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. A private burial will be held at a later date.
