Obituary: Doris J. Hood, 84, Of Norwalk

Doris J. Hood, 84, wife of the late Francis A. Hood, of Norwalk, died on June 25, 2023 at Norwalk Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born in Pittston, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Susan (Smith) Welter, she worked at various local stores while raising a family. She was a Mets fan and enjoyed watching game shows.

She is survived by her three sons; Robert and his companion Jill and son Ash, Francis and James, six loving grandchildren; Robert “R.J” and his wife Cici, Brian, Kristie, Brandon and his wife Sarah, Destiny and her companion Dakarai and Amanda, four cherished great-grandchildren, Carina, Brandon Jr., Alivia and Grayson, as well as her brothers Charles and Milton, and a sister Charlotte, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Other services will be held privately.
