Obituary: Elieen C. Connors, 82, Of Norwalk

Elieen C. Connors, 82, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, died on July 10, 2022 at Norwalk Hospital after a short illness.

Born in Norwalk, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Ashton) Slamon, she was the loving wife of the late George V. Connors. Eileen attended both the University of Connecticut, the University of Bridgeport, and worked as an accountant for various firms until her retirement in 2000.

She enjoyed traveling, skiing, hosting family holidays, vacation homes in Florida and Rhode Island, jigsaw puzzles, playing bridge, and attending book club.

She is survived by her sister Maureen Rottjer and her husband Fredrick, and their children: Kathleen (Richard) Grainger, Linda (Seth IV) Shepard, Michelle (Bradley) Krehel, Joan (Steven) Dudziec and Ann (Gary) Linley, and sister in law Nancy McGuire and her husband George and their children: Kevin (Joyce) McGuire, Leslie (John) DiIorio, and Laura (James) Bussiere, as well as 14 cherished grand-nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk. Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
