Obituary : Evan Jacob Lasker
Evan enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, and was an avid New York sports fan.
Evan Jacob Lasker, 65, beloved son of Millie and Joe Lasker of Village Creek, South Norwalk, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023. He was surrounded by family, listening to his favorite Beatles tunes. Evan was born in Norwalk Hospital December 27, 1957 and was a graduate of Brian McMahon High School. He loved to draw and created dozens of colorful geometric drawings like kaleidoscopes. He also drew detailed drum sets with inventive rock group names. Evan had an extensive collection of record albums: The Beatles, Elton John, Kiss, Jefferson Airplane, etc. that he listened to while drawing. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, and was an avid New York sports fan.
Evan was much beloved by his older brother, David Lasker of Toronto, Canada; his sister Laura Lasker and brother in law Tom Curran of Litchfield, CT; his nephew Ryan Looney and wife Alissa of Holliston, Mass.; his niece Rebecca Tulin and husband Adam of Guilford, CT; his great nephews Ty, Jake, Bowen, Wyatt and great niece Lucy; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Evan will be missed by his many friends in Village Creek where he grew up and enjoyed cook outs on the beach, annual New Year’s Day parties, neighborhood baseball games. Evan’s father, the noted artist Joe Lasker, wrote a children’s book about Evan, “He’s My Brother” published by Albert Whitman & Co. in 1987.
