Obituary: George Cronk, 78, Of Norwalk
He was very active with the Masons, having been a former district director and a longtime member of the Ivanhoe Lodge in Darien.

George J. Cronk, age 78 of Norwalk, died peacefully at his home after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Anastasia (Kopiec) Cronk for the past 18 years.
George was born in Norwalk on February 7, 1944, the son of the late George E. and Evelyn (Monaghan) Cronk. He attended local schools and served in the Army Air Force during the Vietnam War where he became disabled. He worked for several years for SNET as Systems Analyst. He also worked as a Lieutenant of Security at the Maritime Center in Norwalk.

He was very active with the Masons, having been a former District Director and a longtime member of the Ivanhoe Lodge in Darien.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his three daughters, Allison Beerwa (John), Kimberly Weider and Emily Rowe (Chad), his sister Karen Cronk, step-sons Alexander and Andrew Lozupone, 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

It was George's wish that his ashes be buried in Arlington National Cemetery. There will be no local services. Donations in his name may be made to the American heart Association (www.heart.org).
