Gerald A McGuire, Jerry, formerly of Norwalk CT and recently of Easton CT, died at the age of 83 on July 9, 2022.

He passed peacefully at St Vincent’s Medical Center surrounded by family. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Ann Marie (Pirrone) McGuire.

Jerry was born on July 28, 1938, in Bronx, NY the son of Thomas and Kathryn (Hendrick) McGuire. Jerry grew up in Mamaroneck, NY, attended the Archbishop Stepinac High School and graduated from Iona College. Jerry and Ann married September 10, 1960, and soon after moved to Norwalk, CT, which became their forever home.

Jerry and Ann were active and early members of St Philips Church and remained faithful parishioners until their deaths. Jerry had a successful career as a sales executive in the food industry for 40+ years. An avid reader, seasoned traveler and lifelong learner, Jerry preferred spending time with family over all else. He will be dearly missed by family and friends and remembered for his quick wit and calm demeanor.

He is survived by his four children, their spouses and families. Gerald and Storm McGuire of Greenville, SC. Susan and Bill Gardella of Easton CT, Michael and Natalie McGuire of Dallas Texas, Kara and Derek Hann of Fairfield CT and his loving eleven grandchildren Will, Eric, Ryan, Kathryn, Jerry, Matthew, Brendan, Chase, Madison, Emma and Sophie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday July 19, 2022 at St Philip Church, 1 Fr Conlon Pl., Norwalk CT with entombment to follow at St John Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk CT on Monday July 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
