Obituary: Jeanne M. Kanzler, 93, Of Norwalk

Jeanne M. Kanzler, 93, wife of the late Robert J. Kanzler of Norwalk, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Paul G. and Margaret Boublis.

A long-time resident of Norwalk, her passions and talents were far-reaching and varied. She played piano beautifully, and instilled and fostered a love of music and the arts in her children. A master knitter and needle worker who was also active in the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

She was an avid reader and kept an extensive library. A nature lover who enjoyed gardening, birds, and animals of all kinds. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Devoted mother of Barbara Gerteiny (Ernest Manack), Laura Morabito (Eddie Valles), Aimee Kanzler, Ellen Lavorato (Pat), James Kanzler (Janice), John Kanzler (Diane), and the late Thomas Kanzler (Jeri). Cherished grandmother to six and great-grandmother to five.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
