Obituary: Jeannette Baril, 85, Of Norwalk

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jeannette Baril, 85, widow of George Baril of Norwalk.

Jeannette transitioned peacefully at home with her two daughters by her side on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Jeannette was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Born in Norwalk, CT on March 27, 1937, Jeannette is survived by her daughters Diane Hazzard and Denise Baril, both of Norwalk, her brother Richard Brousseau and wife, Maryann of Norwalk, 6 grandchildren, Michael Hazzard and wife Trisha of Huntington, Briana Caporizzo and husband Matt of Shelton, Michelle Ross and husband Mike, Tyler Farrar, Melissa Carkey, Mallory Vlicky and husband Mike all of Norwalk and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jeannette created a loving home that welcomed anyone who came through her doors. She taught ceramic classes for many years and continued her passion for crafts throughout her life. She was artistic and was always looking of ways to repurpose items she came across in her travels. She loved cooking, gardening, shopping, and watching her crime dramas. Most of all, she loved unconditionally and instilled good values in her children, and grandchildren that have served them well. "Meme" will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will take place at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, CT, on Tuesday, January 10th, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.

She left us beautiful memories, her love will be our guide, although we cannot see her, she will always be by our side.
