Obituary: Laura Iannitti Solemene, 95, Of Norwalk

Laura Iannitti Solemene passed away at the age of 95 on August 20, 2023 at her home in Norwalk.

Born in Minturn, Italy, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Ciufo) Iannitti, Laura was predeceased by her husband Carmen, sister Mary Peninpede and brother Pasquale "Pat" Iannitti.

Laura loved cooking for her family at gatherings and spending time with longtime friends.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Tillinghast and son-in-law Chris, son Joseph Solemene and daughter-in-law Eileen, grandchildren Jonathan and Jason Tillinghast and Joseph and Kevin Solemene, and great-grandson Matthew Tillinghast, as well as nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 28, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Her funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, 203 East Ave, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
