Obituary: Michael Ferraro, 76, Of Norwalk

Michael N. Ferraro of Stuart, FL, formerly of Norwalk, CT, beloved husband of the late Deborah Nielsen Ferraro (2021), passed away in Treasure Coast Hospice on September 21, 2023. He was born in Norwalk on January 6, 1947, to the late Lawrence and Carmella Ferraro.

He was a 1965 graduate of Brien McMahon H.S. and attended Norwalk State Technical College. He started his career as a drafting engineer with Sorensen/Raytheon in Norwalk and later became an independent contractor with Pitney Bowes and Executone.

Mike enjoyed life on the water, boating and fishing. He was a Life Member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, serving as Vice Commodore. His move to Florida in 2020 enabled him to be closer to his son and family.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Michael L Ferraro, his wife Marcie and grandsons Gage and Dax, his daughter, Diana (Andres) Carvajal of Hollywood, FL. Surviving also are his stepchildren, Aimee (Steven) Pellegrini of Durham, CT and Michael (Jenn) Nielsen of Meriden, CT.

Brief words and a memorial luncheon will be held for his Norwalk friends on October 28th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Norwalk Boat Club, 17 Mack Street Norwalk, CT.
