Obituary: Pat R. Malkin, 79, Of Norwalk

Pat R. Malkin, age 79, of Norwalk, died peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on April 13, 2022. He was the loving husband of Joan Zilliox Malkin.

Pat was born in Norwalk on September 9, 1942, the son of the late William K. and Sylvia D’Orio Malkin. He was a retired electrician having worked for Union Local 3 in New York and Union Local 208 in Connecticut. He was very involved in Norwalk girls softball and loved to read crime novels and do crossword puzzles.

Pat is also survived by his children Lisa A. Malkin and Paul V. Malkin (Tammy), grandsons Liam and Louis, his brother Gary Malkin (Rosemary) and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Bill earlier this year.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s name may be made to the MSGR Walter Recreation Center Mortgage Reduction c/o St. Matthew Church.
