"Patty Girl" grew up on and around South Norwalk’s Ely Avenue, where she held warm memories of family, childhood friendships and the true meaning of neighborhood. She graduated from Mother of God Academy, in Stamford in 1962. Afterwards, she enrolled in an x-ray tech program at St Joseph’s Hospital, in Stamford where she met and maintained lifelong friendships. Graduating in 1963.

In 1966, Patty was introduced by a dear friend, on a blind date to Conrad A. Borgeson, of Georgetown. Wasting little time, they married January 24, 1967, at St Mary’s church in Bethel. The newlyweds began their marriage in a rented duplex apartment in Byram, where they welcomed a daughter. Needing more space for their growing family, they moved to Patty’s childhood home in South Norwalk, as her parents had recently moved to Wilton, where they welcomed a son. In 1970, Patty and Conrad purchased their first and only home in Norwalk, on Lockwood Ln, where they would raise their two children and remain for the rest of their lives.

Throughout her career, Patty worked as an X-Ray Tech with St Joseph’s and Norwalk Hospitals. She also worked in administrative roles with Pediatrician, Dr. Michael Suchenski, in Darien, Immediate Medical Care Center and Soundview Medical Associates, in Norwalk, from where she retired in 2012.

With her impressive social aptitude, "Patty Perfect" was known around town and always enjoyed bumping into patients, neighbors, family, and friends whenever out and about. A simple trip to the grocery store could take hours, as Patty, without fail would run into several people she knew, stopping to catch up on family updates and perhaps a bit of gossip. The seemingly endless pauses in the aisles of ShopRite would often drive Patty’s young children stir crazy!

Patty enjoyed any type of social gathering among family and friends. She and Conrad hosted many memorable holidays and back yard summer gatherings. "Pop ins" were always welcomed. She especially enjoyed decorating her warm and inviting home for Christmas.

Also dear to her heart were Sunday Gravy dinners at her parents’ home in Wilton and of course, any and all time spent with her beloved husband, Conrad.

Patty was a member of the Saint Thomas the Apostle School Parent Teachers Association and The South Norwalk Boat Club Woman’s Auxiliary, where she always looked forward to their annual Christmas shopping trips to Pennsylvania, celebrating the start of the holiday season with her dearest friends and fellow "Shopaholics."
