Obituary: Raymond 'Ray' Vento, 60, Of Norwalk

A former resident of Stamford, Ray spent the earlier part of his career at Coca-Cola.

Raymond "Ray" Vento, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was called home on January 23 at the age of 60.

Raymond was born on January 15, 1963 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Pasquale "Patsy" Vento and Elvera Vento. A former resident of Stamford, Ray spent the earlier part of his career at Coca-Cola.

Ray was passionate about cars, collecting a number of trophies for his toys at local shows that were proudly displayed. He will also be remembered for his ability to make people laugh. Ray made sure that he was noticed wherever he went with his unique personality.

He is survived by a daughter Stephanie Vento, a brother Dominick Vento, a sister Rosemarie Vento-Koch (along with her husband Robert J. Koch and son Robert P. Koch), and his loving canine companion Peanut. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family and many longtime friends.

The family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home (12 Mott Ave., Norwalk) on Friday, January 27 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28 at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, with interment to follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
