Obituary: Victoria 'Vicky' Buono, 58, Of Norwalk

She loved long drives in the car, listening and singing to oldies music and eating mom's home-cooked meals on Sunday with the family.

Victoria "Vicky" Buono passed away peacefully on Dec. 26, 2022 with her family by her side.

Vicky was born on August 28, 1964 in Norwalk, CT to Frank and Louise Buono.

She is survived by her parents, sister Maria Buono (Dan), niece Andrea Buono, and many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her extended family includes all the residents and staff at Lower Fairfield County Regional Center (LFC) where Vicky resided and received so much love and support throughout her life.

Vicky was a spunky, strong willed, courageous, and affectionate type of gal. She loved long drives in the car, listening and singing to oldies music, and eating Mom's home cooked meals on Sunday with the family. She loved singing and dancing with her Dad in the kitchen during Sunday family time.

In Vicky’s younger years, she would entertain herself by flipping through beauty magazines. She especially loved Avon books and Bride magazines. Vicky was always joyful, especially at the annual Christmas parties and Black Tie Formals hosted by LFC.

Vicky will always be remembered as a beautiful soulful person who brought so much joy to all that knew her.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec 30, at the church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 203 East Ave, Norwalk, with graveside services to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
