• Norwalk Public Schools Recognized Statewide, Nationally For Reducing Chronic Absenteeism: District (patch.com) — Norwalk residents can take pride in Norwalk Public Schools' sharp drop in chronic absenteeism, which now beats the state average and draws state and national recognition. The district continues to lead large Connecticut cities in test performance, academic growth and graduation rates, with detailed results recently presented at a Norwalk Board of Education meeting and shared on the NPS YouTube channel.
   

• Norwalk Conservatory moves 'The Wild Party' to SoNo Collection after Downtown Cabaret Theatre closure (nancyonnorwalk.com) — Norwalk residents can still catch the Norwalk Conservatory's fall musical, as "The Wild Party" has been relocated to The SoNo Collection for Oct. 8–18 after Bridgeport's Downtown Cabaret Theatre closed. The Conservatory is fundraising to cover relocation costs and support its fall season, while leaders stress Norwalk's need for a dedicated performing arts venue.
   

• South Norwalk Library adds EV charging station (nancyonnorwalk.com) — If you drive an EV in Norwalk, you now have a new two-port charging station at the South Norwalk Branch Library on Washington Street, open to both patrons and the public. The project, led by library director Sherelle Harris with support from SNEW and city staff, aims to encourage visitors to charge up while exploring library programs and resources.
