Popular Norwalk Ice Cream Shop Celebrates Free Cone Day

NORWALK, CT — While residents in northern Connecticut may flock to their nearest Ben & Jerry's scoop shop Tuesday to get a free cone, a popular Norwalk ice cream shop is offering a similar deal for one day only.

Mr Frosty's Ice Cream announced on Facebook it will hold a similar Free Cone Day event for customers Tuesday.

According to the post, customers can grab a free soft serve ice cream cone between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the store, located at 6 First Street in Norwalk.

Mr. Frosty's also listed the following rules for Tuesday's special event:

• Customers must follow Mr. Frosty's on social media.

• One kids size soft serve cone (no toppings) per customer.

• Available while supplies last, "and yes, they will go fast."

"Tag your crew, tell your group chat, cancel your plans…this is your sign," the post reads.

Mr. Frosty's first announced the special event on March 21 on social media.

"We heard Ben & Jerry's is giving out free ice cream on April 14," the March post reads. "So yeah…we're doing it too."

The store also listed its available soft serve flavors as vanilla, chocolate, swirl and Pineapple Dole Whip.

In addition to its soft serve, Mr. Frosty's serves a wide variety of inventive ice cream flavors available in a cone or a cup.

Last summer, the popular local business even crafted a unique tomato basil flavor that drew interest from customers.

In 2021, Tik Tok and television stars and sisters Charli and Dixie D'Amelio stopped by Mr. Frosty's along with some fellow Tik Tok stars.
