Proposed Hotel At The SoNo Collection In Jeopardy: Report

NORWALK, CT — On the heels of news that the developer is late with $1.6 million in payments to Norwalk, now comes word that the planned hotel at site of The SoNo Collection complex might be scrapped, reports The Hour.

Negotiations between the city, the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency and Chicago-based General Growth Properties (GGP) are on-going about possible changes to the approved plan, which currently calls for retail space, the hotel and other components.

The 150-room hotel may end up being scrapped in favor of office or residential space at complex, but no decisions have been disclosed.
