Reward Offered for Information about Fatal Norwalk Hit-and-Run

Two pedestrians were struck by a BMW on Van Buren Avenue in May Norwalk, and one of the victims later died.

NORWALK, CT — The State of Connecticut is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the hit-and-run death of Jaime Lane, one of two pedestrians struck by a BMW in May in Norwalk.

According to police, the crash occurred on May 11 at 9:30 p.m. on Van Buren Avenue near the intersection of Bedford Avenue.

"Two pedestrians were struck by a gray BMW, which was last seen fleeing south on Van Buren Avenue. The BMW is believed to have sustained front and right side damage to include a missing right side mirror, which remained at the scene," police wrote in a statement.

Both pedestrians, Lane and a male, were transported to Norwalk Hospital where Lane later succumbed to her injuries.
