If you've been hankering to hear some great jazz, check out "Saxology" on February 25 and 26 at the . According to Jim Clark, one of the musicians on the bill, the program is a tribute to various American jazz saxophone masters.
Charlie Parker, and John Coltrane are the more familiar names on the star studded tribute program, but the depth of the tribute ranges from the Swing era's Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young. The night also features works by Sidney Bechet, Ben Webster, Lester Young, Don Byas, Dexter Gordon, Paul Desmond, Stan Getz, Cannonball Adderley and Sonny Rollins.
Clark promises that its not just the music that will evoke a bygone year, the performance is a full stage production of music, images and more offering a glimpse into the life and musical legacy each performer.

In addition to Clark, Chris Coogan is on piano, John Mobilio is on upright bass, Scott Latzky is on drums, and Rex Denton is on trumpet.
The show starts at 8 p.m. both nights. Crystal Theater is located at the corner of Bayview Ave. and Hillside Street. General admission tickets are $30; student or senior tickets, $20. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
