'Scream'-Masked Thief Robs Norwalk Bank: Police

The First County Bank on Main Avenue was hit on Tuesday afternoon.

NORWALK, CT — A thief wearing a "Scream"-type mask robbed the First County Bank at 660 Main Ave. in Norwalk on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The robbery occurred just after 2 p.m. when the suspect entered the bank and in "a deep voice, told the teller to 'give me all the money in your drawer,'" wrote Norwalk Police Lt. Terrance Blake in a statement.

Whether the suspect was armed, and how much money he may have gotten, was not disclosed.

In addition to the ghost face mask, the suspect was described as wearing a "black leather jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves with design, dark pants and white shoes." He is also believed to be a Caucasian male, according to police.
