Second Round Of Bulky Waste Pickup Scheduled For April In Norwalk

The city's spring bulky waste collection has begun and eligible residents can still request their pickup for the next round of the program.

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk's spring bulky waste collection has begun and eligible residents can still request their pickup for the next round of the program in April, according to the city.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, city officials said residents in Zone 2 have until March 26 at 4:30 p.m. to reserve their bulky waste pickup for April.

According to the city, residents in the 4th Taxing District with city collection are eligible for two bulky waste pickups per year.

Collection is by zone and month, and sign up is required during a resident's zone's window, according to the city.

There is a limit of one cubic yard per pickup, city officials noted.

Norwalk residents can find their zone by using the city's map here, and pickups can be scheduled by submitting a click and request ticket here or by calling 203-854-3200 (option 0).

The following schedule by zone was also provided by the city:

  • Zone 1 – Concluded.
  • Zone 2 – Request pickup between March 16-26; actual pickup date will be in April.
  • Zone 3 – Request pickup between April 20-30; actual pickup will be in May.
  • Zone 4 – Request pickup between May 18-28; actual pickup will be in June.
