Services Set for 4-Month-Old Girl Who Died at Norwalk-Based Daycare Facility

The little one "was born at Greenwich Hospital on June 24, 2016 and in her brief time here touched many lives."

NORWALK, CT — Corinne Nicole Magda has been identified as the four-month-old girl who died on Oct. 5 after being under the care of the Norwalk-based Family Child Care Home.

She was identified in an obituary from the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory in Stamford, which was first confirmed by The Hour. The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation by Connecticut State Police, who took over the investigation last week from Norwalk police.

Calling hours and services for Corinne are set for tomorrow, Oct. 11, at the funeral home, which is located at 104 Myrtle Ave. in Stamford.

Corinne Nicole Magda, daughter of Matthew Magda and Jill Cimminello Magda passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital. She was born at Greenwich Hospital on June 24, 2016 and in her brief time here touched many lives.
Corinne was greatly loved by her parents Matthew and Jill Magda, her paternal grandparents, Frank and Carol Magda of Stamford, and her maternal grandparents Louis and Deborah Cimminello of Norwalk; her aunts, uncles and cousins: Amy, Ken, Dylan and Riley Bernheim of Wilton; Brian and Mariam Magda and Allyson Magda of Stamford; her great aunts and uncles: Maria and Bill Myers of Norwalk, Frances Magda of Stamford, Carolyn and David Ettinger of Council Bluffs, IA, Robert and Deborah Meno of Knightdale, NC, James and Angela Cimminello of Norwalk as well as other family and friends.
All that came in contact with Corinne knew her beautiful smile, awesome laugh and sweet cry. Her memory will continue to strengthen our family always.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM with a funeral service to be celebrated at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Corinne’s memory to either JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 or directly to the family.
